The Ranch Story
Before it was The County Line at Bearberry, this place was Canyon Ridge Ranch.
Just west of Sundre in the Bearberry area, the ranch is surrounded by open meadows, aspen and spruce forests, rolling foothills and the beautiful wild country that makes this part of Alberta so special.
For years, this land has been part of everyday ranch and family life. Horses, hay fields, trails, changing seasons and wide-open spaces are simply part of life here.
Today, the ranch is also home to The County Line at Bearberry. While the old indoor riding arena has been transformed into our Event Barn, the heart of the property hasn't changed.
It’s still country. It’s still home. And there’s still a little adventure in every direction.
Before County Line at Bearberry became an event venue, this building was an indoor riding arena/barn. What you see today came from a major transformation of the existing building — keeping its rural character while creating an entirely new space for weddings and celebrations.
After years of planning, construction and plenty of hands-on work, the old barn has become a gathering place we're incredibly excited to share.

From Our Family to Yours
County Line is family owned and operated. This property is part of our everyday life, and creating the venue has been a family project from the beginning.
We wanted to build something that still felt at home here in Bearberry — relaxed, welcoming and surrounded by the countryside — while giving couples a beautiful place where they can bring everyone together for more than just a few hours.
And that's really what County Line has become: a place to gather, celebrate, stay and make memories.

We were lucky enough to be one of the first weddings at the County Line! As soon as you drive through the gates it’s a magical place, and it meant so much to us to have our wedding there. Our wedding party was able to get ready and stay the night at the venue with us, we felt comfortable and it’s very spacious! We had amazing views, with rustic benches in a beautiful field down by the river. Edwin and Zoraima were great to us and we’re lucky enough to call them friends!

The County Line venue is a stunning location with a beautiful setting. We had ample space to set up all our tables for dinner and still had plenty of room for a dance floor. Plus, we didn’t need an additional location for photos. I highly recommend this venue for any event.
